Paiya (Tamil: பையா ; English: Boy!) is a forthcoming Indian Tamil action film written and directed by Linguswamy, who earlier directed highly successful Tamil films like Aanandham (2001), Run (2002) and Sandakozhi (2005), starring Karthi Sivakumar and Tamannaah Bhatia in lead and Milind Soman and Sonia Deepti in supporting roles. Produced by Linguswamy himself under the banner of Thirupathi Brothers, the film, which has music scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja, cinematography and editing handled by Madhi and Anthony respectively, is currently in its filming stage and is expected to release on 14 January 2010, coinciding with Pongal.
Yuvan was missing in action for a bit but he is back big time with this album. The young music director is in his elements and has created some wonderful songs for this album.Melody seems to be the theme of this album and fans of Yuvan will be happy with the end product.
Thuli Thuli (Haricharan, Tanvi)
A soft romantic song sung by the talented Haricharan. The tune reminds me of some old compositions of the music director but it is still refreshing. There is a nice rhythmic beat accompanying the song. This is the pick of the album.
Poongatre Poongatre(Benny Dayal)
A rock song and Benny is the perfect choice. Benny hits the high notes in typical style. This fast paced song is dominated with the a rhythmic guitar and keyboards. The lyrics by Muthukumar are equally impressive
Adada Mazhaida(Rahul Nambiar, Saindhavi)
Again this song reminds of another composition. Rahul has done a decent job. There is a native flavor to this foottaping song. The song does not deviate from the formula of this album , which is to stick to pleasing melodies.Saindhavi actually gets a chance to sing !
Suthudhe Suthudhe( Karthik, Sunitha Saradhy)
The energy that Karthik can bring to the table is amazing. The versatile singer seems to have enjoyed the song and it is clearly visible in his performance. The tune and the music arrangements compliment the lyrics very well.Sunitha does not really play any role in this free flowing song. This song has the credentials to stay on the charts as well.
En Kadhal Solla( Yuvan Shankar Raja, Tanvi)
A tune tailor made for Yuvan. High pitch vocals and pathos reign supreme. I am not a big fan of Yuvan , the singer. His voice definitely has a nice appeal and is unique but he struggles with his pronunciation of certain words.
The female lead singers don’t really play a major role in this album which is slightly surprising. Also there is no fast paced song which could be attributed to the lead actors inability to dance.
Yuvan has tried to play it safe but he has to watch out as his tunes seem slightly repetitive. This is still a high quality album. If the visuals are rich the songs would stay in the charts for a while.

Very nice review…kind od echoes most of my thoughts !!
