@lakshmi: I don’t think it’s right to always say “imagine the work they would have done, how can you say this.” If that holds, one cannot say anything bad about any movie at all, as all movies have some sort of money and effort involved. All art is meant to be appreciated or criticised, and all artists know this. If we don’t say what we truly think about a bad album, our opinion of a good album loses its value. If we are to honour Yuvan’s good albums (of which there are many : Kannamoochi Yenada, Tamil MA, and many many more), we have to criticise his below-average albums. If we call everything good just because there was some half-hearted effort, it’s insulting to works that are really good.

And I agree, Silambattam is a nonsense album. I’m not anti-Yuvan at all; I think he’s one of the few truly talented musicians we have today. Neither am I anti-Simbu, I loved Manmadhan, and quite a few songs from Vallavan. I think “Where Is The Party” is not bad, in that it is a slightly humourous sounding song that one can hear a few times. The remixes in the album are not remixes. They are a lazy re-recording of the originals. I can’t detect any changes made at all. Yuvan has done some good remixes before, and I hope he can do things like that if he is going to do remixes at all.

I do agree that the song is a massive hit ( from what I have read) but I still stand by what I said the song is really horrible .It is no doubt a lot of fun but leaves a bad taste . I am sure that the melody machan machan will be remembered for a while. Btw i am huge fan of Yuvan , he has a lot of talent.

i am not a simbu fan…but a yuvan fan… wheres the party took me by surprise! the song is massive hit and pulling in the crowds for the movie…. guess this review is one of the numerous reviews that bite the dust eventually….

crappy review. WHERE IS THE PARTY gonna be the all time favourite. nice singing by MUKESH. this guy is realy having problem with yuvan.(even i dont mind simbu). ilayaraja song is nice melody.
