Song Review – New York Nagaram (Jillendru Oru Kadhal)

This song from the movie Jillendru Oru Kadhal is one of the best songs Rehman has sung. This song for some reason reminds me of the MJ hit “Stranger in Moscow” . Notice the use of sirens in the background which is typical of NY city. Rehman has used the humming piece very effectively and the chorus in the background creates the needed effect. The Saxaphone piece in the end is also the right instrument to depict the mood of the song. The lyrics are awesome as well.

I’m chinese but loving this song very much…..loving, loving, loving….. and loving. really difficult for me to understand their language but I know to sing this song well now…..
