Aadhavan is a forthcoming Tamil language action film directed by K. S. Ravikumar. It stars Surya Sivakumar and Nayantara in the lead roles. Surya has stated that for the first time in his career, he will be playing a character with negative shades in this film. The music is composed by Harris Jayaraj.

1.Hasili Fisiliyae

Vocals: Karthik, Harini

Lyrics: Pa Vijay

Karthik and Harini sing this romantic melody. This is a typical Harris song with a heavy bass background with a nice rhythm. If someone can find out what the title of the song means then they can post a comment !! . This is easily the best song of the album

2. Yeno Yeno Panithuli

Vocals: Shail Hada, Sudha Raghunadhan, Andrea.

Lyrics: Thamarai

Guitar and the Saxophone dominate this song. Shail is a new comer with a lot of potential. There is nothing new about this song but if you are a Harris fan this song will feature in your playlist for at least a short duration.Andrea has exented her voice after working with GV Prakash.

3. Damakku Damakku

Vocals: Benny Dayal.

Lyrics: Na Muthukumar

A rather unique song sung by the versatile Benny Dayal. I was not all that thrilled with the composition or the arrangement but it is a decent song.

4. Vaarayo Vaarayo

Vocals: Unnikrishnan, Chinmayee, Mega.

Lyrics: Kabilan

The piano interlude is interesting and the guitar piece makes it even better. Chinmayee sings her heart out for this song and Unnikrishnan is as usual at his best. Harris has also tried the violin in this song with an opera mix. This song has the potential to challenge ‘Hasili Fisiliyae’ for the top honors in this album.

5. Dekho Dekho

Vocals: Suvisuresh, Sandhya, Sricharan ( Rap voice & lyrics).

Lyrics: Vaali

A rap song with a hindustani mix.Vaali has used words to substitute for the rhythm. There is lot of unique instrumentation which makes for a fascinating mix.

6. Maasi Maasi Listen here

Vocals: Mano, Mega.

Lyrics: Vaali

Mano is back after a long time but that is all there is to this song.

This is a decent album by Harris. After Varanam Ayiram and Ayan the expectations were pretty high. Harris could have easily done better. Surya and Nayanthara are sure to scorch the screen and the songs should get more visibility after the release of the movie.

Music: Yuvan Shankar Raja

This is the third movie for yuvan with Ajith. The first two movies Dheena and Billa were big hits.Yuvan’ s orchestration skills are brought to the fore in this album. Saroja was an interesting album but Yuvan has taken one more step ahead with this album. All the songs are Peppy but strangely there is not even a single slow song in the album.

Hey Salaa (Blaaze, Naresh, Mohammed Aslam)
The best song of the album . Blazee as usual is full of energy in the album. There is a flute interlude in the middle which reminded me of the ‘Mein Hoon Na’ title song. The song is fast and has a terrific rhythm to it. This will be a sure hit with the youngsters.

Kichu Kichu (Yuvan Shankar Raja, Vasundhara Das)
Vasundhra Das has a magnetic voice and Yuvan has used it very effectively. The song , compared to the rest of the songs is slow but packs a punch with the constant bass beat in the background. The orchestration skill of Yuvan is again the winner here.

Odum Varayil (Kay Kay, Bela Shende)
Another fast song sung by the awesome Kay Kay with Beia giving him company. A metal guitar is the star of the song . Beia again reminds me of Shreya Ghosal. The song transforms into a melody in the middle and Beia is in her elements at that point.

Hey, Baby(Shankar Mahadevan)
I think this is the first time Yuvan has stepped into Jazz music and he has done a commendable job . Shankar Mahadevan as usual is electrifying and uses his heavy bass voice to suit the mood of the song. The Hindi version of this song’s visual was a terrific hit . Hopefully the same happens in the Tamil version.

Yahoo (Sathyan, Ranjith, Naveen, Suvi)
Sleek orchestration and youthful singers make this song memorable. This song is also a fast paced , rhythmic song about life in the college campus.

I would consider this album to be a mixed bag as I could not remember any of the songs even though I enjoyed the album when I was actually listening to the songs.

It is worth buying the CD.It will be a big help in the dance floors

This is the 25′th movie for Harris Jeyaraj . There is a lot of hype created in the media about this movie starring Vishal and Nayanthara.I can safely say that Harris has stuck to his formula and has not deviated even a millimeter from his comfort zone. All the songs have this ” I have heard this before ” feeling but at the same time are slightly different . The best thing about Harris is he allows the lyrics and the singers to take center stage and this album is no exception. The lyrics are awesome .

Chellamae Chellame (Bombay Jayashree , Balram)
A beautiful song . There is nothing different in this song but the sheer melody is sure to make it a big hit. Jayshree does a fabulous job. The usual Harris formula of adding bits which add to the listening experience but which absolutely makes no sense continues in this song. This time around it sounds more like a Chinese chant. Even though this creation from Harris sounds very familiar it will be impossible to dislike this song. The lyrics are ravishing as well. This is the best song in the album. You can listen to the song Here

En Anbae (Sadhana Sargam)
Another melodious song. There is actually nothing to write about the song except for the simple lyrics and how beautifully it is sung by Sadhana Sargam. The lyrics for this song is equally impressive and we have the meaningless chants in this song too , though they sound more African.

Ivan Udayum (Hariharan)
A typical mass song glorifying the hero. Hariharan seems to the surprise choice over Shankar Mahadevan but Hariharan with his wide range is able to easily do what is required. This is a fast song with a nice African beat. There is also a cool Heavy metal guitar and Violin piece in the middle which require special mention.

Paal Pappali(Ranjith)
The mandatory Kuthu song which could have been avoided.

Ada Gada(Premji)
A rap cum kuthu song. This is very similar to the title song from Vetaiyadu Vilayadu. There is a heavy rhythmic guitar interlude throughout the song . There are some new sounds which make the song interesting.

I wish Harris starts trying something different as he is becoming too predictable. If he wants to reach the heights that Rehman and Illayaraja were able to reach he should be more versatile and should be willing to experiment. That said this album won’t disappoint hard core Harris fans.

I would just get two songs if this album is available in itunes.
