The music of YUvvraj grows on you if you listen to the songs and the score in ipod where every instrument is audible and relevant to the score. The reviewer like many in these blogs wants a bench mark from Rahman himself. Taal and other hits like Guru and the rest got the music to suit the story line. No wonder with the story line set in Europe the music has to be what rahman has given with not a single tabla beat or profusion of flute notes by Naveen.
Lets judge Rahman’s music year by year and i lookat this music as an award(s) winner.
To talk of Pritam and others is in bad taste. The masses also need music and the heavily orchestrated Yuvvraj music could be above them. So we do need others too.

IN short Yuvvraj has songs to please all from the peppy Shano to the teens, mastham mastham for kids and a great manmohiney for the aesthetics, Zindagi for the melodists and the two duets muskura and thuhi thoo hai for all cuting across age and taste barriers.
